Here are several images from the last week, roaming under Skagit Valley Skies…
Along the Bayview Edison Road there is a small bridge over the Samish River. The end of the river curves west as it opens into the sound.
The sweeping are is filled with grass and an old, abandoned boat.

This next image is more recent, yesterday in fact and you can see the top of the boat has gotten smashed. The green is starting to arrive, and that wonderful grass will be back soon.

Fir Island lies in the Skagit River delta. It is the winter home for snow geese and other migratory water fowl.
What is Earth Day all about?
We live on a cool planet.
It’s beautiful.
There are mountains.
Oceans.
Rivers.
Flowers.
Meadows.
Animals.
People.
and LOTS more.
Lets try harder to not fuck it up!
Barns have a definite personality. Some are smarmy and conceited, others destitute and abandoned. Old abandoned barns are best. All pretenses are erased and what’s exposed is the soul of the place. With nothing left to hide the history of the place exudes and if you take some time to breathe and listen you will be transported back in time.
This barn is located in La Conner and she had a lot to say!

The Padilla Bay Estuary is a place to experience sky and water, clouds and colors. There is an old barn with a dock, on the water asking to have its image captured. Remnants of rusted equipment are strewn along the shore. Birds of all types visit, and the clouds grace the sky with shapes and colors.
