Prusik Peak in the fall is an alluring sight. The larches turn bright orange and if the weather co-operates the blue skies punctuate the landscape.
I luckily won the lottery for a permit this fall and last week I spent 5 days in the Enchantments, exploring and ogling the colors.
What a fantastic experience that must have been! Beautiful shot!!!
Yeah, it was like being in the Lord of the Rings, or on Avatar, the landscape was so rich and wonderful! I am amped to g back for a longer trip next year!
Yeah, it was special, the fall is such a cool time to visit, the larches are orange adding even more to the beauty of the area…
Thank you and what state do you hale from?
Upstate NY! It’s gorgeous here right now!

What an amazing place, and lucky you winning the lottery 🙂
Yes, yes, yes! Two years in a row! I am definitely going to enter again this next year!
Oh, please do, Andy. I want to see more of this enchanting place 🙂
I have so many more…will get busy. I want to see images of Purgatory Creek!
Right now there isn’t much water in Purgatory creek and I haven’t been down there for a couple of weeks, life has got in the way 🙂 You may have to wait a while as I got O/seas next week
I’ve been there. You captured it beautifully!
Thanks BJ, when did you visit there?
These photos are simply stunning Andy.. and so clear. I can almost smell the rarefied air.
Hey Martin,
Yes, the cool fall air is so clear and crisp, its such a wonderful time to hike, no bugs and great colors…you are up in Whatcom County, is that right?
Stunning shots. Lucky you with the permit. 😀
Yes! Lucky with the permit and the weather!
