The bridge connecting Whidbey Island to the mainland at Deception Pass is one of the photographic icons of this area. Wooded slopes and sheer cliffs towering over a deep fast channel make it dramatic. The span itself lends to being photographed.
I visited on Thanksgiving to get air and scout for spots to photograph at night. The light was warm and inviting. Here are a few shots.
This place looks absolutely awesome. Where is this state park?

Hello! This park is in Washington State, up in the northwest corner, not far from Canada and the Pacific. It is located on Highway 20, near the town of Mount Vernon.
From Seattle drive 60 miles north on I-5, and head west on Highway 20 another 15 miles or so to the Deception Pass State Park!
Thanks!!! It’s beautiful đŸ˜„
Where about’s are you?
way down south in Florida…

Really great shots! I drove over that bridge this past summer. I love the PNW so much. Miss it there.
