The Skagit Valley Tulip Festival is held every April, here in the Skagit Valley. The tulip fields are a short, 20 minute drive from my house. Last year I visited the Tulip Fields 18 times!
The best times to visit are mornings for sunrise and evenings for sunset, but not on weekends!
I offer Guided Tulip Photo Tours each season. Sunrise and Sunset tours are available through out the bloom season. Very small groups, 3 people or less. Here is all the information and page to get signed up for a Tulip Tour in 2016.
Here are my favorite images from 2016, enjoy!

Andy .. These are amazing! You are so very clever .. Love them
Thank you, Julie! 🙂
I bet it’s hard for the human eye to take in all that beauty at once. The colors, the reflections, the light. So impressive. Wish we lived closer! If we did, I’d book a tour. Stunning is the only word that comes to mind.
Yes, its like eating something that’s SOOO good, or the best concert, or what ever sensory overload you can imagine, the colors and sky and air it all assaults your being. I love it! It is addicting, being out doors in colorful places and taking pictures, but of all my addictions, its my fave!
What an amazing description. I totally get what that must be like now. I googled the Tulip Festival then put it on my “gotta do these things in my lifetime list!” Always through the I’d have to go to Holland to see tulips so beautiful. Thank you!
If you make it out this direction you can do more than Tulips, the Olympic National Park is awesome and close by as well as a whole bunch of other cool locales…
*always thought I’d 😀
